Dance x OT Therapy

Led by Kelly and Lucy, occupational therapists and trained dancers, with mindfulness woven through every session. This Gold Coast based program combines therapeutic movement with structured OT interventions to support emotional regulation, body awareness, and self-confidence.

If you’re a tween or teen who loves dancing, this is for you. It’s not about being a great dancer, it’s about using dance to feel better and to grow.

Clinical Benefits & Therapy Outcomes:

Emotional expression & self-advocacy – Supports participants in identifying and expressing emotions through movement, building self-awareness and self-advocacy skills.
Body awareness & coordination – Improves proprioception, spatial awareness, and balance, supporting activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, navigating spaces).
Social engagement & communication – Our Speech Pathologists facilitate group interactions, peer bonding, and non-verbal communication skills through movement.

Mindfulness & emotional regulation – Integrates breathing techniques and movement-based mindfulness, helping participants manage anxiety and sensory processing challenges.
Cognitive engagement & sequencing – Supports multi-step thinking, memory, and motor planning, crucial for learning, independence, and task execution.

The LEGO group

Run by Kate, our occupational therapist trained in LEGO-based therapy, this small group builds social communication through something kids already love: building together. Collaboration, turn-taking and shared problem-solving, through play that feels nothing like therapy.

More groups on the way

We are always developing new groups. Prep Pals, our school readiness group, and Mindfulness and Movement, our beach group for teens and young adults, are open for interest now, and more groups are on the way. Tell us what your family needs and we will let you know what suits.
